Gradually we will start hearing of
“Keysimania” which in the start it doesn’t tell us anything and all it will do
is call our interest in such word which purist won’t admit its artificiality;
but in the edge of dogmas, is true that the word hides understandings ways of
life and deal with everyday problems which everyone has in their daily routine.
To talk about “Keysimania” is a way to understand discipline, order and
sacrifice to achieve and attain goals that motivate us to move forwards in our
ideas and our thoughts.
Talking about Keysi is to define a style of
approaching the teachings of the disciplines of defence which help us overcome
situations of high risk or simply give us guidelines to persuade our opponent
of the futility of starting a confrontation if there is no forces to success,
even if it’s only verbally.
If you don’t know what Keysi is, you will
continue living as normal the rest of your life, as long as you don’t have a
hitch in the street, or you don’t end up in a submitted by fate in a helpless
situation, where personal marginalization and self-esteem are dragged to the
ground, in the best of cases, the subject will be subjected to a severe beating
that undermines their senses and almost eliminates physical activity, existence
and lowers their self-esteem to the degree of social pariah.
Why do these situations occur, sometimes
without provoking them and without participating in a street brawl we find ourselves
involved in them, and on top of it, losing out usual composure and out personal
dignity, in the best situation the usual would be that we would suffer a major
aggression which we would generate some sort of physical or mental loss, the
worse thing is those situations where we are exposed without thinking or
looking for it, we are not prepared to face them.
The question is: What to do in those
circumstances? How would you defend against these attacks? Or just how can we
neutralize them to get out of them? These and other similar questions are the
ones we ask ourselves when we have been under situations of severe stress with
some physical risk. The answer to these
questions are similar to what a good friend raised, when he told me he never
danced at social gatherings or dance halls, so he avoids those situations for
the simple fact that he doesn’t know how to dance and plenty of times he wanted
to learn and to be a school so he can develop the abilities and enjoy the good
company. In the fight, and especially in
street brawls, the knowledge of defencing o simply knowing how to avoid
possible punches from our attackers can help us to save our own lives o to
solve a situation of high risk that without this preparation it could have
caused significant physical or psychological consequences.
So from now on, you will hear of the
“Keysimania” or discipline to help us in critical situations or just to taste
through a method and a discipline to develop our qualities as individuals which
will prepare us to control ourselves and compose in every moment, even in fight
as a last resort.
As very aptly described by the writer Edmund Burke in the following proverb:
“For evil to triumph, is enough for men to
do nothing good” with regret and fear the only thing that we will achieve is
